Who We Are:
Transco Rail Services, along with Union Tank Car Company (UTLX) and Procor, delivers full-service railcar repair and maintenance through a broad North American network of fixed shops and mobile field service teams. Serving freight and tank car fleets across multiple industries, we are committed to safety, compliance, quality, and reliable service.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Laborer to provide support by performing basic railcar repairs. You will repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches. You will assist with performing a variety of rail car repair related tasks and working in a TEAM environment, establishing good working relationships at all levels.
Job Requirements:
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes.

  • Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

  • The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

  • The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.

  • Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.

  • Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.

  • Able to pass drug screen, physical.
