Job description

Our bank customer is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist to join our growing operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the Bank’s daily back-office operations, ensuring smooth transaction processing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional internal service.This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in bank operations and a strong understanding of ACH, wire transfers, and deposit services.

Key Responsibilities:

You will support a wide range of operational functions with one designated primary responsibility area (ACH, Wire Transfer, or Account Support & Item Processing), plus general support duties:

* Assist with daily deposit operations, including ACH and wire processing.

* Provide exceptional service to internal staff and customers regarding deposit account inquiries and transaction research.

* Reconcile general ledger and deposit accounts.

* Support regulatory compliance efforts, including BSA/AML and consumer protection laws.

* Maintain and update documentation and follow bank record retention policies.

* Execute and verify domestic/international wire transfers in accordance with bank policies.

*Account Support & Item Processing

* Handle unposted items, chargebacks, and large return notifications.

* Maintain account documentation accuracy and follow up on exceptions.

* Support safe deposit box and new account processes.

* Execute and verify domestic/international wire transfers in accordance with bank policies.

* Ensure all documentation is correctly scanned and stored.

* Upload and reconcile wires in BSA software.

Qualifications:

*ACH Certification-highly preferred

* 3-10 years of experience in deposit operations or similar banking functions.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

* Proficiency with banking software and ability to learn new systems.

* Self-motivated and adaptable to change.

* Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
