Your Role- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, initiate diagnostic tests, and tailor individualized care strategies
- Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses either independently or in collaboration with physicians
- Provide education on preventive care, wellness and chronic disease management to patients and their families
- Prescribe necessary medications and treatments adhering to established guidelines
- Engage actively in patient follow-up and chronic illness management
- Work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team to deliver cohesive patient care
- Document care accurately and comprehensively within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Iowa
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or related specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Developed clinical skills combined with a warm, caring approach
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to adapt in a lively, patient-focused environment
- Skillful with EMR systems and familiarity with telehealth technology
