Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

At Trane Technologies we Challenge Possible. Our brands - including Trane and Thermo King - create access to cooling and comfort in buildings and homes, transport and protect food and perishables, connect customers to elevated performance with less environmental impact, dramatically reduce energy demands and carbon emissions, and innovate with a better world in mind. This role is a split shift, with working hours from 10am - 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on the building, ensuring safe and functional operations
Conduct routine preventative maintenance procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize efficiency
Handle landscaping tasks to maintain a clean and presentable exterior
Repair and troubleshoot issues related to office equipment, such as printers, copiers, and computers
Utilize problem-solving skills to address commonly occurring maintenance issues promptly
Collaborate closely with the EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) team to ensure compliance with facility safety checks and requirements
Monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and emergency exit lights. Ensuring proper identifiers are being used.
Maintain accurate EHS records using internal software and Microsoft programs
Assist with minor HVAC repairs as needed
Perform simple painting projects to improve the aesthetics of the facility
Conduct basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks and unclogging drains
Demonstrate proficiency in basic carpentry tasks, such as repairing doors, windows, and flooring
Perform basic sanitation duties
Other maintenance or material handling duties/tasks may be assigned as needed
Order replacement parts and components for various building systems and equipment as necessary
Ensure effective communication with all levels on the production floor to address maintenance requests and provide updates on repairs
Coordinate with suppliers and external stakeholders to fulfill equipment needs promptly and efficiently

Qualifications:
Previous experience in the maintenance field, demonstrating knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques
Basic operations of material handling and cleaning equipment preferred, but not required
Ability to effectively problem solve and utilize basic mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, and fractions
Agility and fast learning ability to adapt to new maintenance processes and technologies
Proficiency in utilizing laptop/desktop/tablet and Microsoft programs with willingness to learn and use Maintenance and EHS software for record-keeping purposes
Ability to work overtime as needed
High school diploma or GED required
Forklift experience required


Required Skills:
Strong ability to read and understand technical manuals to effectively repair equipment
Proficiency in performing minor plumbing repairs and painting tasks
Familiarity with working with various hand tools, such as drills, saws, hammers, etc.
Sound knowledge of maintenance work related to building care, including basic carpentry skills
Experience in performing maintenance work on HVAC systems
Capability to work independently or as part of a small team to complete assigned tasks
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels on the production floor
Ability to communicate with suppliers and external stakeholders to fulfill equipment needs promptly and accurately
