We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Chiller Technician to join our team.

Job Summary: As an HVAC Chiller Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, pumps, and advanced rooftop units. This role requires a highly skilled technician with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial and industrial chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chillers.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with refrigeration circuits, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and other system components.
  • Work on water source heat pumps (WSHP), including maintenance and troubleshooting of water loops and heat exchange systems.
  • Service and maintain pumps used in HVAC systems, including chilled water and condenser water pumps.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot rooftop units (RTUs) and advanced systems like Trane IntelliPaks.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on self-contained water-cooled units (SWUDs).
  • Conduct system performance tests and ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems and associated equipment.
  • Work with building automation systems (BAS) to monitor and adjust chiller and HVAC performance.
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates and recommendations.

Education, Qualifications and Skills: To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical or trade school certification in HVAC systems (preferred).
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (required).
  • Manufacturer-specific training or certifications (e.g., Trane, Carrier, York) (preferred).
  • State HVAC or refrigeration license (if required by location).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on chiller systems.
  • Hands-on experience with water source heat pumps (WSHP), pumps, rooftop units (RTUs), IntelliPaks, and self-contained water-cooled units (SWUDs).
  • Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and principles.
