Work Location Requirement:This position isonsite. Internal candidate may remain in their current office location or work from a nearby HUB location, contingent upon office space availability. External candidate must work out of the Davidson, NC office.

We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical Senior Manager - Vertical Markets, Industrial focused on the Industrial markets. In this critical role, you will be a key member of the team responsible for developing, communicating, and executing Trane's growth strategy within the industrial process heating and cooling (IPHC)space.

You will serve as a strategic link between various internal teams and external stakeholders, focusing on the development of integrated IPHC solutions that enable increased bookings, revenue growth, market penetration, and customer retention. As the designated "voice of the customer" and the go-to subject matter expert for industrial verticals, you will drive high-level growth strategy, market intelligence, and customer engagement. While you will collaborate closely with our sales teams to ensure alignment, this role is distinctly focused on market strategy and intelligence rather than direct sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning, Analytics & Financial Tracking

  • Growth Strategy: Develop, communicate, and execute comprehensive industrial process heating and cooling growth strategies specifically tailored for the various segments within the industrial vertical market.
  • Financial and Metrics Tracking: Monitor and report on key financial metrics: MOR, LRP, AOP.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to identify market trends, market attractiveness, and customer needs, translating insights into actionable growth strategies. Utilize analytics to inform strategic decisions, thereby reducing risks and capitalizing on opportunities more effectively which lead to positive outcomes via demonstratable ROI.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Continuously monitor the industrial sector to identify emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive landscapes. Translate these insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze market data to identify new opportunities for market penetration and expansion of integrated IPHC solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Regional Strategy

  • Strategic Link: Act as the primary liaison connecting product management, marketing, sales leadership, and engineering teams to ensure a unified approach to the industrial market.
  • Regional Strategy: Identify and collaborate with CSOs to localize and execute growth strategies. Leverage and share best practices across regions.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and assess partnerships that bring in new business or create synergies, enhancing Trane's market position.
  • Sales Enablement: Partner closely with sales teams to provide them with the strategic tools, market insights, and value propositions needed to win complex industrial projects, without acting as a direct seller.
  • Solution Development: Collaborate with internal teams to help shape integrated IPHC solutions that meet the specific, complex needs of industrial customers.

Customer Engagement & Value Creation

  • High-Level Engagement: Engage with key external stakeholders, industry associations, and strategic accounts to understand their overarching challenges and long-term business goals.
  • Customer Retention: Develop strategies aimed at maximizing customer lifetime value and retention within the industrial sector through tailored solutions and thought leadership.
  • Market Positioning: Help position the company as a premium provider of innovative, sustainable IPHC solutions within the industrial space.

The role requires up to 30% travel

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in HVAC or IPHC system design, planning, procurement, sales and/or maintenance.
  • Industrial experience is highly desirable.
