The Role
We're seeking an experienced Director of Development to play a central role in executing active development projects while helping source, evaluate, and structure new investment opportunities.This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility across the full development and investment lifecycle-from underwriting and deal structuring to entitlement, construction, and stabilization. You'll work closely with senior leadership on strategy, capital formation, and project delivery, while acting as a key driver of execution across multiple initiatives.
What You'll Do
Development & Execution
  • Lead development projects from acquisition through entitlement, design, construction, and stabilization or disposition
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, consultants, and construction teams to ensure disciplined execution
  • Manage due diligence, feasibility analysis, and risk assessment across active projects

Investment & Underwriting
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and lead underwriting and financial modeling
  • Assess returns, capital structures, and development feasibility across multiple asset classes
  • Contribute to investment committee materials and internal decision-making

Capital & Partnerships
  • Support equity and debt capital relationships, including joint ventures and co-GP structures
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating partnership agreements
  • Work alongside leadership on capital formation and investor-facing materials

Strategy & Asset Management
  • Contribute to portfolio-level strategy, asset management decisions, and exit planning
  • Develop market-level insights and support long-term investment strategy

What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
  • 7-10 years of experience in U.S. real estate investing and development
  • Hands-on experience across acquisitions and ground-up development
  • Advanced underwriting and financial modeling capabilities
  • Direct experience managing projects through the full development lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of real estate financing, equity raises, and joint venture structures
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
