About the role:

We are seeking a Learning & Development professional with experience in manufacturing environments to design, implement, and scale training programs across the business. This role focuses on program architecture, content development, and Train-the-Trainer enablement, ensuring training is delivered consistently by leaders, supervisors, and subject matter experts across multiple teams, shifts, and locations. The ideal candidate excels at creating repeatable frameworks, coaching internal trainers, and driving workforce development consistency and quality.

What you'll do:

  • Design end-to-end training programs that can be deployed consistently across the organization.

  • Build training frameworks for supervisors, team leads, and subject matter experts to deliver training effectively.

  • Partner with operations, quality, safety, and HR teams to define training standards and deployment plans.

  • Support onboarding, role-based, and ongoing skills development programs across manufacturing functions.

  • Develop and implement Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs, including trainer guides, facilitation notes, certification criteria, and evaluation tools.

  • Coach internal trainers and leaders to ensure consistent delivery and learner experience.

  • Develop high-quality, modular training content including presentations, work instructions, job aids, SOPs, e-learning modules, and assessments.

  • Maintain training content to reflect process, equipment, and compliance changes, ensuring scalability and reusability.

  • Support training deployment through Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other tracking tools.

  • Define success measures for training programs and trainer effectiveness, analyzing feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, training program design, or workforce development.

  • Experience designing scalable training programs and Train-the-Trainer models, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Strong content development and instructional design skills.

  • Experience rolling out training across multiple sites, shifts, or business units.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), regulated manufacturing environments (safety, quality, compliance), and blended learning solutions.

It'd be great if you have:

  • Experience in e-learning development or digital training tools.

  • Ability to travel to support site rollouts or training programs.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and project management skills.

Why you'll love it at Clutch:

  • Autonomy & ownership - opportunity to build processes, programs, and influence workforce development across the company.

  • Help shape the learning and development function during a phase of rapid growth.

  • Broad and direct ownership over L&D strategy and program implementation.

  • Exposure to senior leadership with the opportunity to contribute to major business initiatives.

  • Competitive compensation and above-market health & dental benefits.

Employment Type:
New, Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually

  • Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, dental, vision, prescriptions, life insurance, and dependent coverage; starting from day 1.

  • Pay decisions reflect skills, performance, market benchmarking, responsibilities, and working conditions.

Clutch is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals have an opportunity to succeed. If you require accommodation at any stage of the interview process, please email talent@clutch.ca.
