Job description

Manufacturing Trainer (Silent-Aire)

What you will do

Our Training and Development team is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all New-Hire Orientations and delivering highquality training on company policies, safe use of basic hand tools (theory and practical), manufacturing safety practices, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) comprehension across multiple sites. The Manufacturing Trainer also maintains all training documentation, evaluates employee competency levels, coordinates external training, and supports continuous improvement of the training program.

The Equipment Trainer plays a critical role in building a safe, skilled, and confident workforce. By ensuring employees understand their tools, their procedures, and their responsibilities, this role directly supports operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety culture.

Shift:This hire will work from Tuesday-Friday from 3pm-1am MST.

How you will do it

  • Work with employees in a production environment to ensure competency within their assigned position.

  • Train employees on how to read, interpret, and follow SOPs within a production environment, ensuring the ability to breakdown complex procedures into clear, actionable steps.

  • Ensure employees understand blueprint drawings, and compliance expectations, and can apply that knowledge to physical work environment.

  • Conduct practical assessments, knowledge checks, and observationbased evaluations to allow for competency signoffs based on evidence-based criteria as well as identifying skill gaps to recommend targeted (re)training.

  • Reinforce company policies related to tool use, maintenance, and accountability while teaching safe handling and practical use of basic hand tools (e.g., power tools, wrenches, screwdrivers) through classroom and realtime coaching.

  • Support compliance with internal safety standards and regulatory requirements through multiple avenues (e.g. conducting refresher training, toolbox talks, and targeted safety interventions).

  • Assist in developing new training modules or improving existing ones, prepare demonstrations, and practice stations.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify training needs. Then work with functional areas to develop, schedule and deliver internal training sessions across departments as identified.

  • Work with the EHS team to ensure safety orientations for new hires which includes workplace hazards, PPE requirements, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.

  • Assist with New-Hire Orientations

  • Ensure all certificates and credentials are collected, accurate, up-to date, and recorded.

  • Prepare reports for management on training progress, gaps, and upcoming needs.

  • Support audits by providing training documentation when required.


What we look for

  • CSTS-2020 Certification (Required)

  • Previous training, coaching, or mentoring experience.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to teach and demonstrate handson tasks clearly and confidently.

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.

  • Organized and detailoriented with strong recordkeeping habits.

  • Powered equipment experience (considered an asset)

  • Solid understanding of hand tools, workplace safety principles, and manufacturing processes.

  • Comfortable giving constructive feedback and correcting unsafe behavior.

  • Ability to interpret SOPs and explain them to others.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and demonstrate tool use for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and PPE requirements.

  • Ability to lift and handle training materials and equipment as needed. (Up to 35lbs unassisted)
