Job description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technology Training Specialist will be responsible for facilitating training programs on various MAI technologies, creating training materials using multiple learning approaches, and hosting consistent training office hours for our employees. This role requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to the evolving needs of our firm and provide engaging and effective training sessions. As a member of our Technology team and of the Training and Development community at the firm, you will be part of enabling our team members’ success, leveraging our digital presence, and improving client engagement through innovative training solutions.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver and support development of comprehensive training programs on a wide range of technologies. (Examples would include: Dashlane, MS CoPilot, Windows 11, Microsoft Applications like SharePoint and Teams, Salesforce, Docusign, Adobe, Smartsheet, Zoom, etc.)
  • Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person workshops, eLearning courses, and hands-on training sessions. The person in this role would own the delivery and learner experience.
  • Create high-quality training materials to support training sessions using a variety of training tools and methods.
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D (Learning and Development), and business unit teams to align training with organizational objectives and to understand overall training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Leverage the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) to manage training content, track employee progress, and report on outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and updates to MAI technologies to ensure training content is current and relevant.
  • Stay informed on the latest training technologies, such as AI content creation, virtual classrooms, gamification, and mobile learning, to enhance the training experience.


EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Adult Learning Principles and Practices, Adult Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating virtual and in-person instructor-led training programs, with practice incorporating experiential learning.
  • 3+ years of experience in both designing and deploying training and development, with at least 2 years of experience as a Technology Trainer or similar role.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS), course development tools, and video editing software and tools.
  • Proven experience in the application of training methods, curriculum development, adult learning, tools, and techniques to design and deploy a wide variety of training in a corporate setting.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Additional certifications in training facilitation, instructional design, or another aspect of training and development or PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus.
  • Experience in an RIA/Investment Management firm or other type of Financial Services firm a plus.

  • Excellent knowledge of various technology topics, including software applications, hardware usage, data management, and cybersecurity. Has the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable guidance.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to effectively design training programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively deliver training and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, adaptability, and analytical abilities (e.g., training needs assessment, training effectiveness measures), with a focus on analyzing information and resolving complex problems.
