Job Summary

The Specialist II, Training Operations is responsible for executing training programs at the operational level, focusing on the delivery and support of training initiatives. This role ensures team members receive effective onboarding, safety, and skills-based training. The Training Specialist for Operations supports the implementation of corporate training strategies, maintains training documentation, and partners with site leadership to drive a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic leadership and executes training programs at the operational level, focusing on delivery and support
  • Executes training plans and provides feedback for improvement
  • Customizes and localizes training materials for specific roles or departments; facilitates in-person & virtual training
  • Delivers onboarding, safety, and job-specific training to hourly team members; mentors and others, may lead projects
  • Drive change communication and training rollout during change initiatives
  • Partners with supervisors and frontline employees to identify training gaps
  • Maintains training records and ensures documentation is up to date at the local level
  • Collects feedback and reports on training, participation and comprehension
  • Demonstrates learning commitment: required to develop skills in facilitation, LMS management, and instructional design
Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree

Specialized Degree:  Education, or business-related field

Years of Experience: 2-4 Years

Field(s) of Expertise:

Training or operations in a manufacturing environment 

Preferred Education & Experience

Specialized Degree: Education, HR, Organizational Development or related field

Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

Field(s) of Expertise:

Knowledge of adult learning principles, Training, Learning & Development, Continuous Improvement, or Organization Operations in a manufacturing environment
