Position Overview

We are seeking a Training Subject Matter Expert to develop and deliver TACCOM training curriculum nationwide, drawing on federal law enforcement communications experience to ensure training programs reflect real-world operational and interoperability requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum and deliver certified training programs at a nationwide scale
  • Coach instructors on technical, operational, and delivery objectives to enhance team performance
  • Report training program metrics and improvements to management using data-driven analysis
  • Plan and coordinate interoperability training during multi-agency, multi-discipline, and multi-jurisdictional public safety operations
  • Deliver training across multiple platforms, including in-person, Teams, and hybrid formats
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience developing curriculum and delivering certified training programs at a nationwide scale
  • Prior experience as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, preferably with DHS, with firsthand understanding of law enforcement operations and communications impact
  • LEITP certification via FLETC, to FLETA-accredited standards
  • Advanced knowledge of LMR communications systems, code plug programming, and IP-based law enforcement communications
  • Knowledge of NTIA and FCC regulations and applicable laws/policies affecting law enforcement and interoperable communications.
  • Experience as an Instructor at a Police Academy, FLETC, or similar institution
  • Advanced understanding of RF propagation, antenna characteristics, and RF safety requirements/regulations
  • Proficiency in multiple training delivery platforms (in-person, Teams, hybrid)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of equivalent experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination
  • U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Instructional design certification (e.g., ADDIE-based curriculum development).
  • Experience developing training analytics dashboards or LMS-based reporting.
