Position Overview

The Guest Service Attendant plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and seamless experience for guests of the Nicewonder Inn. This position assists with front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and guest inquiries, while ensuring that service standards reflect the luxury and tranquility of our property. With a focus on professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail, the Guest Service Attendant ensures every stay is memorable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival, assist with check-in procedures, and provide luggage support as needed.
  • Process check-outs, payments, and billing with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas.
  • Coordinate guest needs with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
  • Resolve guest complaints with empathy and professionalism to ensure satisfaction.
  • Consistently uphold the service and hospitality standards of the Nicewonder Inn.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in hotel front desk or guest service operations.

Preferred:

  • Additional education or training in hospitality or related fields.
  • Proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of hospitality best practices and service standards.
  • Strong customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Hotel front desk and lobby environment with frequent guest interaction.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (luggage, supplies).
  • Use of computers, phones, and property management software required.
