About the role.
The Maintenance Training Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and administering training for maintenance and engineering disciplines. This role focuses on building and maintaining effective training programs, ensuring employees are properly trained, and supporting continuous improvement across maintenance operations. The position plays a key role in developing training materials, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

What you'll be doing.

  • Develop and communicate maintenance training plans in partnership with supervisors and adjust as needed
  • Implement and coordinate training programs for maintenance employees
  • Partner with Maintenance Planners to schedule and track training activities
  • Support the Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship Program through coordination of required on-the-job training
  • Create and maintain training materials including manuals, SOPs, JSAs, one-point lessons, checklists, and assessments
  • Facilitate, schedule, and document vendor-led training sessions
  • Ensure compliance with PSM (Process Safety Management) ammonia training requirements
  • Partner with Environmental teams to ensure ISO14001 training compliance
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to programs and materials
  • Audit hands-on training between trainers and trainees and escalate concerns as needed
  • Track and document trainee progress and communicate updates with supervisors and stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying gaps and implementing innovative training solutions
  • Deliver engaging trainings to groups and ensure clear communication of technical content
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and timely training documentation

What you'll need to be successful.

  • Intermediate computer skills, with SAP experience preferred
  • Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) trainer certification
  • Working knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements
  • Understanding of ISO14001 standards and compliance expectations
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree and leadership experience preferred
  • Minimum of 12 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and technical training
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to pass a mechanical skills assessment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic work environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and drive training improvements

You will be part of the Maintenance and Engineering team supporting plant operations in Burley, Idaho. This team works collaboratively to ensure equipment reliability, employee safety, and operational excellence. The Training Coordinator partners closely with maintenance leadership, planners, environmental, and safety teams to build a skilled and capable workforce.

Compensation Package: - Starting at 28.51 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
