We are searching for an EXPERIENCED Coordinator for the Wound Care Center.

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Program Director of the Wound Care Center. The Wound Care Coordinator manages a variety of front office functions and office suites to assist the staff of the Wound Care Center. The duties may include but are not limited to schedule patient appointments including initial visits as well as follow-up, answer telephone, triage calls, take and relay messages, discuss patient charges and collect copayments, verify patient insurance and participate in the pre-authorization insurance process, and resolve a variety of routine questions, inquiries, from patients, physicians and other hospital personnel while maintaining the highest level of customer service and timeliness with follow-up. Transcribe orders accurately into electronic health record for new patients, including provider's orders for ancillary testing, consults, biopsies and cultures. All wound center employees must perform their job responsibilities according to Healogics policies and standard work, Hospital policies and procedures, as well as to accrediting organizations, and federal and state regulations as applicable.

Qualifications
  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail required.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational and computer/data skills required.
  • Demonstrate competence in Microsoft Windows software, i.e. Word, Excel, etc. Medical terminology and/or coding preferred.
  • Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • A minimum of two (2) or more years related experience in front desk responsibilities in a medical practice or outpatient clinic is strongly preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

USD $18.73 - USD $31.51 /Hr.
