Field Training Officer

Location: Irving, TX
Pay Rate: $35 hour

Our client is an industry-leading datacenter organization, and we pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class solutions through our teams made up of Security Operations, Shared Services, Threat and Incident Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Human Resources.

About the Role

The Field Training Officer (FTO) serves as the principal training resource for a datacenter campus or metro location. In addition to providing training, job functions may include problem resolution, service enhancement, and process improvement as it pertains to safety and training.

The Field Training Officer reports directly to the Field Training Manager (FTM) and will work closely with other sites, regional, and headquarters leadership. This position will have no direct reports but will work closely with campus leadership to assess employees, site, and campus needs.


What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding and sustainment training
  • Train and certify new security personnel, coordinating with Administrative Officers (AOs) on OTJ tasks as needed
  • Perform ongoing training and evaluation to maintain high security standards
  • Track training completion (production, sustainment, new site starts, performance gaps, etc.)
  • Promote and prioritize safety awareness across the campus
  • Champion global and regional safety initiatives
  • Coordinate with local leadership and PMO training teams to develop and implement training plans
  • Recommend onboarding and training schedules based on staffing needs
  • Conduct recurring training audits
  • Prepare and submit critical and confidential reports to leadership
  • Maintain training and safety documentation in alignment with policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback on employee competence, compliance, and morale
  • Identify security gaps and recommend improvements
  • Evaluate and escalate potential safety risks

What You Need to Apply

  • Associate’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in security and/or business management
  • 2+ years of training experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Data center and training development experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Excel)
  • Reliable communication and transportation
