Job description

Position Summary

The Driver Trainee is responsible for assisting with the delivery, stocking, rotation, and display of Hensley Beverage products at retail accounts. This position helps maintain shelves, coolers, displays, and storage areas while providing excellent customer service.

The Driver Trainee reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Class A Permit required
  • Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
  • No more than two moving violations within the past three years
  • No DWI convictions
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 165 pounds

Essential Job Duties
  • Assist with product deliveries to customer locations
  • Stock and rotate products according to code dates
  • Maintain shelves, coolers, and displays
  • Replace and maintain point-of-sale (P.O.S.) materials and signage
  • Build and maintain promotional displays
  • Report out-of-stock products
  • Clean up damaged products or spills when needed
  • Remove and organize empty pallets and damaged product
  • Keep trucks and equipment clean
  • Complete required paperwork and reports
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • Perform other duties assigned by management

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of products
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to operate hand trucks and delivery equipment
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles
  • Ability to work in small or confined spaces

Working Conditions
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, and vehicle exhaust
  • Work in customer locations where smoking may occur
