DSV Canada is excited to offer a 2-Year Paid Trainee Program: a full-time, fixed-term role open to anyone interested in starting a career in logistics. No prior industry experience is required. 

Developed with CIFFA, the program provides structured training alongside real, hands-on work in our operations. As a full-time DSV employee, you will gain practical experience while completing CIFFA-certified modules and participating in on-site learning. Compensation is $42,000 for year one and $47,000 for year two. We're looking for individuals who are professional, responsible, and eager to learn.

This program requires in-person attendance from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

SUMMARY

Trainees commit to a two (2) year training period and are to be inducted into the functions of freight forwarding and logistics by way of a structured training program with a strong tailored combination of on-site job training combined with in built CIFFA Certified training modules.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary duty is to process shipments in a respective Air & Sea Division department that will range in complexity, which may include overland road, oversized or out of gauge shipments.
  • These tasks are to be performed within the Company standards with emphasis on cost efficiency and industry standards.
  • Advise department Supervisor, or Manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, such as the Code of Conduct, assigned work schedules, and attendance requirements. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Trainee to offer feedback on the department they have worked in.

  • Supports organizational commitment to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 certification - Montreal location.
  • Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
  • Staff are required to ensure that their day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Applicants must have already graduated; current students are not eligible.
  • Need to have valid Canadian work authorization.
