Job description

Position Summary

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry seek a Psychiatrist to practice at William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital in Weston, WV.

Eligibility and Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted).
  • Eligible for state medical licensure.
  • Completed psychiatry residency program.
  • Board certified or eligible in psychiatry.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
  • Practice psychiatry and provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively engage in teaching medical students and residents.
  • Participate in the hospital’s dynamic forensic psychiatry program and research initiatives.
