Job description

Tenet Healthcare and DMC Medical Group are seeking a fellowship-trained skull base neurosurgeon to join a nationally recognized academic medical center in Detroit. This role offers a mixed practice of general neurosurgery and skull base procedures within a supportive environment, including a newly established Neuro Critical Care Fellowship program. The position provides ample resources for high-level practice and opportunities for research, with hospital privileges across all five DMC facilities.

Practice Info

  • Mixed practice: general neurosurgery and skull base procedures
  • Shared call among 5 providers with 8 NPs supporting inpatient rounds 24/7
  • Primary practice location: DMC Neurosurgery Clinic at Harper Hospital (downtown Detroit)
  • Hospital privileges at all 5 DMC facilities
  • PACS imaging on-site, directly connected to the hospital
  • Supportive ancillary staff and in-house billing, coding, and collections

Shift & Schedule

  • Typical schedule: 3-4 clinic days and 1-2 OR/procedure/call days per week

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board eligible or board certified in neurological surgery
  • Completion of an accredited skull base fellowship required
  • Michigan medical license, or eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience post-training
