Job Title: Septic Tank Installer (with Basic Plumbing/Excavation Experience)

Location: Sunrise Beach

Department: Septic & Excavation Services

Reports To: Septic/Excavation Manager

As we expand our services in septic systems and excavation, we’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Septic Installer to join our growing Lake of the Ozarks team.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Septic Tank Installer with basic knowledge of plumbing and excavation. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial septic systems. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable operating excavation equipment and performing light plumbing tasks related to septic system installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain septic tanks and related system components.
  • Operate excavation equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, and skid steers safely and efficiently.
  • Read site plans and layouts to ensure proper system installation.
  • Assist with trenching, grading, and pipe installation.
  • Connect septic system components to residential or commercial plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients.
  • Follow all local codes, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in septic system installation and/or excavation work.
  • Basic plumbing knowledge, including pipe fitting and drainage.
  • Ability to operate excavation equipment confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of using a smart phone or ipad with applications on that device.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in excavation, plumbing, or septic installation.
  • Relevant certifications a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Work in varying outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and using power tools.
  • Stand, kneel, bend, and move for extended periods.
  • Work in and around trenches and uneven terrain.
