We are seeking a
Structural Engineering Intern to work full-time during the summer. This internship program gives Interns hands-on project work experience as well as the opportunity to learn about all facets of the building industry. We are looking for a flexible self-starter who likes to work as an individual, as well as with a team. This is a great opportunity to gain some valuable professional work experience. All interns participate in Epstein's Internship Program that offers additional learning and presentation opportunities and allows Epstein professionals to further aid our Interns with establishing their professional goals.
General Responsibilities:- Assisting with research, analysis, and design calculations to aid in design-related decisions
- Preparing drawings, plans, and other design documentation.
- Developing discipline specific standards
- Working closely with Designers and Project Engineers to develop solutions to problems
Desired Skills and Requirements:- All candidates must be currently enrolled in a master's degree program in structural or civil engineering or bachelor's degree program with concentration in structural engineering
- Experience with Revit and Microsoft Office products is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of software packages such as Robot, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM concept, SAP, Tedds or Enercalc is desirable
- Candidates must have strong analytical and communication skills
- Prior work and internship experience is strongly preferred
At the time of this posting, the anticipated pay rate for this position is $17 - $19 per hour commensurate with the experience of the candidate. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the individual's education, qualifications and experience.
Interns are eligible to participate in Epstein Employee Stock Ownership Plan on the first of the month after hire.
