Highway Construction Flagger (Certification Provided)

Position Summary:
Silver Star Construction is seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Highway Construction Flaggers. In this role, you will help protect motorists, pedestrians, and construction crews by directing traffic safely through active work zones. No prior flagging certification is required—we will provide the training necessary to become a Certified Flagger.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in the highway construction industry while playing a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Successfully complete company-sponsored Certified Flagger training.
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through construction work zones using approved flagging techniques.
  • Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices, including signs, cones, barricades, and other equipment.
  • Maintain clear communication with fellow flaggers, equipment operators, and supervisors using radios and hand signals.
  • Follow all federal, state, and company traffic control and safety regulations.
  • Remain alert to changing traffic patterns and potential hazards.
  • Assist with general labor duties when traffic control is not required.
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Certified Flagger certification (training provided).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
