Job description

Registered Nurse

The RN is responsible for administering nursing care to patients via the nursing process; assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. The nurse also instructs patients and significant others in health care practices, working in collaboration with other health team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional Technical Skills - Experience gained through an approved School of Nursing plus an appropriate period of hospital orientation to the assigned patient care area and to personnel.
  • Education - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • License(s) or Certification(s) - Must possess a current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Other Skills or Requirements - Ability to type 30 wpm with 6 errors or less.
  • Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups):
    • Does not apply
    • Adolescence (13-17 years)
    • All age groups
    • Infants (0-1 year)
    • Geriatric (65+ years)
    • Pediatric/Early Childhood (1-12 years)
    • Adult (18-64 years)
