Job description
One of our clients has a full-time opening for a cleared Cloud DBA (must have active Secret clearance) to assist in the operation and support of cloud-hosted data environments. This role focuses on maintaining database reliability, supporting data workflows, and contributing to the performance and availability of AWS-based systems. It's well-suited for someone eager to build hands-on experience in cloud data engineering and database operations.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Assist with backup, restore, and recovery processes to ensure data protection and continuity
- Write and maintain automation and administrative scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, or similar tools
- Support and administer relational databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or comparable platforms
- Monitor system health and database performance, participating in tuning and optimization efforts
- Work in Linux/UNIX environments to support day-to-day database and data platform operations
- Help develop, maintain, and support ETL workflows and data pipelines
- Contribute to data modeling efforts and maintain well-structured schemas
