Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Frontend Developer (React) based in Netherlands.

As a Frontend Developer (React), you will play a key role in building and maintaining modern, user-facing web applications that power critical business functionality. You will focus on creating reusable, high-quality UI components and transforming complex product requirements into intuitive, responsive interfaces. Working in a remote-first and collaborative environment, you will partner closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences. This role places strong emphasis on code quality, performance, and scalable architecture, as well as the reliability of frontend systems through robust testing practices. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys ownership, technical challenges, and building products that have real-world impact.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable frontend components and user interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Translate complex UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, and performant web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent user experiences.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and maintainability across modern browsers and devices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining strong engineering standards and best practices.
  • Maintain and evolve existing codebases, ensuring long-term stability and technical consistency.
  • Implement and manage automated testing strategies using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Storybook, and Chromatic.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including component structure, styling approaches, and state management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (including SPA architecture).
  • Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches such as SCSS, CSS-in-JS, or TailwindCSS.
  • Solid experience with GraphQL and Apollo for frontend data management and API integration.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining scalable frontend applications in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of component-driven development and design systems (e.g., Ant Design or similar frameworks).
  • Hands-on experience with visual regression and testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Storybook, or Chromatic.
  • Good understanding of performance optimization, debugging, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows and modern development practices is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong collaboration mindset, and ability to take ownership of projects in a remote team environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Fully remote position with flexible working arrangements across Europe (CET 1).
  • Opportunity to work in a product-driven, startup-minded environment with high ownership.
  • Strong focus on professional growth, learning, and continuous skill development.
  • Collaborative and transparent team culture with open communication and regular feedback.
  • Structured onboarding process with support during ramp-up.
  • Regular team activities and virtual or in-person gatherings.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful products with modern frontend technologies and architecture.
