Job description

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Production Operator for our plant in Calgary, Alberta.
Available shift: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday – Thursday.

As a permanent and full-time position, this offers a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their technical and analytical abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation. As a key member of the Joint Treatment department, you’ll be responsible for conducting meticulous inspections throughout the production processes in a dynamic product development and batch production setting. While following established guidelines and prioritizing safety, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and autonomy in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Duties and responsibilities of the Production Operator include:

  • Under the guidance of the Joint Treatment Supervisor, the Joint Treatment Operator conducts the daily operations of Ready Mix. The successful candidate will train on the five different positions in the operator rate program.

1. Ready Mix Trainee

2. Fill Station Operator

3. Forklift/Wash Down Operator

4. Mixer Operator

5. Ready Mix Technician

  • Assists with the manufacturing of all products in the Joint Treatment Department.

  • Assist in the implementation of CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSA’s and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.

  • Maintain housekeeping in all work areas.

  • Exercise personal safety, promote and enforce safety among crew members.

Qualifications:

  • Completed high school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Computer knowledge, an asset.

  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
