About the Role:

The Pre Admission Testing RN Nurse at Morgan Medical Center plays a critical role in preparing patients for upcoming surgical or diagnostic procedures by conducting thorough pre-admission assessments. This position ensures that patients are medically optimized and informed prior to admission, thereby enhancing patient safety and improving clinical outcomes. Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience, preferably in pre-admission testing, perioperative, or ambulatory care settings.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Ambulatory Peri anesthesia Nurse (CAPA) or Certified Preoperative Nurse (CPN).
  • Experience working in a hospital pre-admission testing or surgical services department.
  • Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and protocols.
  • Strong familiarity with patient education techniques and health literacy principles.
