Job description

Coilcraft, Inc., a well-established global organization founded in 1945, specializes in the production of magnetic components, including high-performance RF chip inductors, power magnetics, and filters. Our headquarters are located in Cary, Illinois. We are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our custom machine design and build department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize Programmable Logical Controls (PLCs) to enhance machine efficiency by reducing cycle times, increasing uptime, and minimizing operator intervention.
  • Design control systems for high-performance automated machinery, which involves researching and selecting new components, creating panel layouts and schematics, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with various systems, including PLCs, servo systems, stepper systems, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), power supplies, motion controllers, and communication loops.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electronics.
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in programming PLCs.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office for documentation.
  • CAD experience for schematic documentation.
  • Experience with vision systems is a valuable asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
