Job description

Seaview Hotel and Golf Club is looking for driven associates looking to work in the golf course maintenance industry. This is an entry level part-time seasonal position that will help with our daily golf course maintenance operations starting in the Spring of 2025.
The job responsibilities include raking bunkers, mowing, turf repair, debris clean-up and landscape maintenance along with other golf course maintenance related duties. The position will require work on weekends and holidays in addition to overtime when required. Must have a valid US Driver's License and pass a pre-employment drug screening. Seaview Hotel and Golf Club is one of New Jersey's premier resort facilities featuring high quality conditions, unparalleled guest services, and a highly dedicated staff.
Seaview hosted the 1942 PGA Championship, Sam Snead's first professional major, and in 2014, the club celebrated its 100th anniversary. The club features two distinct golf courses: The Bay Course - Designed by Donald Ross (Pinehurst, Aronimink) and Hugh Wilson (Merion Golf Club) in 1914, this course features classic mounding, deep pot and high-faced bunkers, tricky seashore winds and small greens with subtle undulations. The Bay Course will be host to the Shoprite LPGA Classic in June 2022, where the top LPGA players will compete for a $1.5 million purse. The Pines Course - Designed by William S. Flynn, Howard Toomey, and William Gordon in 1929, the Pines Course is a challenging wooded parkland style golf course that weaves its way through the New Jersey Pinelands with tight fairways, and challenging bunkering.
Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50 BOE
Key Responsibilities of the Greenskeeper:
  • Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment
  • Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
  • Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
  • Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
  • Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
  • Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
  • Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
  • Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
  • Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • One-month related experience or training.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Other Qualifications:
  • Regular and reliable attendance
