Job description

Job Description

As an NDT Senior Technician, you will perform advanced non-destructive testing inspections using phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and other applicable NDT methods in support of construction and asset integrity projects. You will set up and calibrate equipment, execute inspections in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, and client requirements, interpret and evaluate indications, and prepare clear, accurate reports. This role may include developing scan plans, supporting failure analysis or engineering evaluations, mentoring Level I technicians, and traveling to job sites at different stages of construction while working in a variety of terrain and weather conditions.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • High school diploma, GED, or associate degree in Non-Destructive Testing
  • Current Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) in accordance with employer written practice or applicable industry standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and procedures, including the ability to interpret and evaluate test results and document findings accurately
  • Experience setting up, calibrating, and operating phased array equipment and analyzing scan data for welds, structural components, or other critical assets
  • Ability to prepare reports, maintain inspection records, and support on-the-job training for technicians or trainees
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
  • Additional experience such as TOFD, MT, PT, RT, or NACE are a plus
