We are currently seeking an NDT Inspector Trainee at our Cudahy, WI plant located approximately 5 miles south of Milwaukee. As an NDT Inspector Trainee, you will be an integral part of a successful team that is responsible for producing machined in military, aerospace, oil/gas and other applications.
This position is responsible for performing non-destructive examinations through use of magnetic fields with particles or penetrant oils in order to inspect materials and products.
This is a third shift position from 11:00pm - 7:00am. Training will be conducted on 1st shift.
Responsibilities:
  • Conducts regular and complex examination to determine acceptability of material or product.
  • Examines for possible surface or subsurface defects, such as bursts, cracks, laminations, pinholes, voids, or other defects found in materials, products, or welds.
  • Operates mag and penetrant examination equipment and other examination units required to test, measure, and inspect materials and products.
  • Prepares material or product as required in order to properly examine material by cleaning, identifying, setup, etc.
  • May read or interpret blueprints or drawings, specifications and techniques sheets in order to accomplish magnetic particle and penetrant setups, tests, and report preparation.
  • May work with customer or vendor representatives on regular or special materials or products.
  • Prepares for additional qualifications and to maintain any qualifications or ratings that are required to uphold our high standing in customer evaluations.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)
  • Knowledge of Magnetic Particle and Penetrant Test procedures preferred.

Skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Capable of obtaining customer certification requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long term solutions.
