Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented mid-level Maritime Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Oahu, HI. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Drafts and develops Maritime Risk Assessment Plans and safety documentation for senior review and validation
* Maintains detailed records of vessel safety certifications and facilitates communication between the prime contractor and insurance partners
* Prepares routine reports on maritime risk metrics and safety performance for Mission Partners
* Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for managing maritime pollution prevention and safety compliance
* Facilitates the coordination of vessel inspections and ensure all maritime platforms are seaworthy and properly manned
* Prepares risk status updates for inclusion in the unclassified document library and management portal
* Takes direction, guidance, and mentoring from more senior staff Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Marine Safety, Business, or a related field
* 3+ years of position-relevant experience
* Proficiency in maritime safety regulations and USCG standards Desired Qualifications: * Master's degree in a related field
* 7+ years of position-relevant experience
* Experience with international standards for vessel berthing and husbanding Security Clearance Requirements: * Must possess active Public Trust clearance Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time * Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and virtual communication which may involve delivering presentations
