Job description

Primary Function

Responsible for fulfilling Company Cooling Equipment needs, including preparing new equipment and refurbishing existing equipment to Company Standards. Responsible for delivering, installing, and or removing equipment to RCCB customer accounts. Responsible for stocking Company Equipment with initial Coca-Cola product orders as needed, in customer accounts as well as Special Events. Responsible for assisting new technicians in the basic job duties and maintaining the certification expectation for RCCB.


Key Responsibilities

  • Always maintains a safe work environment, inclusive of completing the following daily:
    • Maintains Equipment Services workshop area and assigned warehouse interior and exterior, in a clean and orderly manner and up to OSHA standards for a safe workplace. 
    • Dispose of trash and/or debris from all Company vehicles utilized in appropriate containers (ex. Recycle, Compost, or other waste)
  • Performs corrective and new order action(s) to Vending and Cooling machines (wash, paint touch-up, re-vinyl, decals, repair/ replace components on compressors with assistance from a Certified Equipment Services Technician.
  • Test all vending equipment to ensure functions properly prior to scheduled deliveries.
  • Delivers, installs and sets up (Texas Tankers/ Trailers) equipment for Special Events, execute samplings as needed.
  • Repair/install credit cards on vending equipment in the market.
  • Submit all paperwork and/or invoices after every scheduled shift.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and organized company vehicle.
  • Maintain market ready equipment inventory. 
  • Work Company Athletic/Special Events as needed. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager. 
  • Assist in other departments, as needed. 


Training Expectations 

  • Successfully attend and complete all required RCCB Safety, HR and Job-Specific training, as well as NAOU or Coca-Cola-recommended or required training offered, and successfully pass, complete or acknowledgements associated with the training offered

 

NOTE: Equipment Services Trainees are given 12 months from the start of employment to reach the criteria of the Company and department to become eligible to progress to a qualified Certified Equipment Services Technician. Once the Equipment Services Trainee successfully completes all phases of certification listed below, they may be eligible for progression to be a Certified Equipment Services Technician assuming the following are also true: 

  • The employee does not have an active disciplinary status of a 2nd Written Warning or Final in the last 12 months
  • The employee has not received negative customer service-related feedback from within RCCB or market
  • The employee meets all RCCB internal training requirements and is eligible for the role based on certifications held or received during employment with the Company and has successfully passed all course materials and requirements. 

NOTE: If an employee fails to meet the criteria indicated to be assigned to a role of a Certified Equipment Services Technician within the training period, a formal review of the employee’s skillset will be evaluated to indicate other employment opportunities the employee may qualify to transfer into within the Company, but could also lead to corrective action, up to and including release from employment due to inability to maintain required certification for the role assigned.

Over the first 12 months of employment, trainees are expected to attend, successfully complete and maintain the certifications and abilities below, be able to complete them with little or no intervention by a peer or leader, and are expected to obtain any new, revised or recurring training obligations as they are announced or assigned. 


  • To repair/change out compressors in Vending/ Cooling Equipment.
  • Change a thermostat in vending/cooling equipment.
  • Change power supply cord in vending/cooling equipment.
  • Change a fan in cooling equipment.
  • Conversion lights in vending equipment.
  • Crane GFV Training.
  • Vend motor/cradle, in vending Equipment.
  • Successfully complete training and certification on Connect- Disconnect and Deliver Concession Trailers to customers.
  • Program vending equipment for customer compliance (timer etc.)
  • Change/set up package in vending/cooling equipment.
  • Successfully complete training and certification needed to operate box truck in a safe manner.
    • Maintain an active DOT Medical Certification to utilize box trucks for installations and deliveries
  • Maintain a valid PIT Certification to utilize: Pallet Jacks (electric and manual), and Sit-down Forklifts

Qualifications

  • Requires a High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma 
  • At least 3 years of experience in appliance and electrical repair 
  • A basic knowledge about mechanical, electrical and/or refrigeration is preferred 
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and specifications 
  • A valid NC Driver License and an excellent driving record especially within the last 7 years (A 7-year Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed) 
  • Ability to lift 65 pounds frequently 
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds over shoulders once/twice a month 
  • Ability to push/pull product frequently 
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, climb stairs/ladders and bend frequently 
  • Ability to walk/stand at least 8 hours/daily 
  • Must be able to obtain necessary certifications as required 
  • Maintains a professional relationship with co-workers, customers, and the public 
  • A good candidate must provide a good work history that demonstrates: excellent customer service, dependability, integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, and takes initiative 
  • Ability to pass the company’s background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company’s drug testing requirements
