Keep Our Community Comfortable. Keep Our Residents Safe.

At Aviva Senior Living, our residents depend on a comfortable, well-maintained environment every day of the year. As our HVAC Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our heating, cooling, ventilation, and mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently.

This isn't a service truck job. You'll work at one beautiful senior living community where you'll build relationships with residents and staff while taking ownership of the HVAC systems that keep our community running.

If you take pride in diagnosing problems, preventing breakdowns, and making things work the first time, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Own
  • Maintain all HVAC, ventilation, and climate control systems throughout the community.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce emergency repairs and equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, rooftop units, split systems, boilers, furnaces, air handlers, mini-splits, exhaust systems, and thermostats.
  • Respond quickly to HVAC-related service requests from residents and staff.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Replace motors, belts, bearings, filters, compressors, capacitors, contactors, and other HVAC components.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Partner with community leadership to prioritize repairs.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for specialty repairs and warranty work.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local codes, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies as needed.
What Success Looks Like
  • HVAC equipment operating reliably year-round.
  • Preventive maintenance completed on schedule.
  • Prompt response to resident and team member service requests.
  • Reduced emergency repairs through proactive maintenance.
  • Comfortable resident apartments and common areas.
  • Survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
What You Bring
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Required)
  • Three or more years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • Experience with boilers, rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, and building controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in mechanical spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Journeyman HVAC License
  • NATE Certification
  • Experience in healthcare, hospitality, multifamily housing, or senior living.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Basic plumbing and electrical repair skills.
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Continuing education opportunities
  • Company-provided uniforms
  • Stable year-round employment
  • Modern tools and equipment
  • Supportive leadership team
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors every day
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Crawl into mechanical rooms and confined spaces.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
Why Aviva?

Every repair you complete, every preventive maintenance check you perform, and every HVAC issue you solve directly impacts the comfort, safety, and quality of life of our residents. If you're looking for a place where your skills matter and your work has purpose, we invite you to join the Aviva team.
