About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Controls / BAS Service Technician to support commercial building automation systems, HVAC controls, troubleshooting, commissioning, programming, and service. This is an ideal opportunity for a controls professional who can independently diagnose complex BAS issues and work directly with customers, technicians, and project teams.

Must-Have BAS Experience

Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

  • Tridium Niagara
  • Distech Controls
  • Siemens Desigo
  • BACnet/IP and building automation networks
  • HVAC controls troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Controller programming and configuration
  • BAS graphics and front-end systems
  • Sensors, actuators, VAVs, AHUs, RTUs, boilers, chillers and associated HVAC equipment
What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot and service commercial BAS and HVAC control systems
  • Diagnose communication, controller, sensor and programming issues
  • Perform BAS startup, commissioning and system optimization
  • Modify control sequences and programming
  • Configure controllers and field devices
  • Troubleshoot BACnet communications and network issues
  • Review trends, alarms and system data to identify problems
  • Work with customers to diagnose and resolve system issues
  • Support technicians, project managers and engineering teams
  • Document service activities and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with system upgrades, retrofits and modernization projects
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC controls/BAS experience
  • Strong hands-on Niagara experience
  • Distech controls experience
  • Siemens Desigo experience
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently
  • Strong electrical and controls knowledge
  • Experience reading mechanical/control drawings
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple service calls and priorities
