Job description

Learn a Skilled Trade — Paid Machine Operator Training

Machine Operator / Manufacturing Trainee
Venture Industrial Products, Inc. — Lee’s Summit, Missouri

Pay:  based upon experience
Day shift | Full-time or part-time opportunities

Are you dependable, mechanically inclined, and interested in learning a skilled trade?

Venture Industrial Products is looking for motivated people to train as machine operators in our precision metal fabrication facility. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

This is an opportunity to earn a paycheck while learning practical manufacturing skills that can lead to increased responsibility and long-term career growth.

What You May Learn

Through hands-on, paid training, you may learn how to:

  • Operate metal-fabrication machinery
  • Read job travelers, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Load materials and remove completed parts
  • Set up equipment for different jobs
  • Use calipers and other measuring instruments
  • Inspect parts to confirm they meet specifications
  • Record production and inspection information
  • Recognize tooling or equipment problems
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance
  • Follow established quality and safety procedures

Depending on your skills and interests, training may include equipment used for shearing, laser cutting, turret punching, press-brake forming, deburring, machining, or other manufacturing operations.

You May Be a Good Fit If You

  • Are dependable and maintain regular attendance
  • Enjoy working with machines and using your hands
  • Are willing to learn and accept instruction
  • Take pride in producing accurate, quality work
  • Can follow written and verbal directions
  • Have basic math skills
  • Work well independently and with a team
  • Take workplace safety seriously
  • Are willing to help in other areas when needed

Experience Is Welcome—but Not Required

Experienced machine operators are encouraged to apply. However, you do not need years of manufacturing experience to be considered.

We are especially interested in applicants who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, curiosity, dependability, and a genuine desire to learn.

Physical Requirements

This position involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, and regularly handling materials or parts. Frequent lifting of approximately 5–35 pounds and occasional heavier lifting may be required. Appropriate safety training and personal protective equipment will be provided.

Why Join Venture?

Venture Industrial Products has been serving customers since 1972. We are an established precision metal fabrication company with a broad range of manufacturing capabilities and an experienced team.

At Venture, you can learn more than how to operate one machine. You can develop an understanding of the complete metal-fabrication process and build skills that become increasingly valuable over time.

You bring the dependability and willingness to learn. We will provide the opportunity and training.
