Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack.NET)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack.NET) for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in San Leandro, CA, Concord, CA, or San Francisco, CA. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a hands-on full stack engineer to design, build, and support scalable, enterprise-grade applications that power critical business capabilities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in.NET/C#, strong database and data modeling skills, and experience developing high-performance, distributed systems within regulated environments. You will collaborate with architecture, product, security, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, resilient, and cloud-ready solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications using.NET /.NET Core (C#)
  • Design, optimize, and manage complex data models using Oracle Database and SQL
  • Build and optimize scalable backend services leveraging RESTful APIs and service-oriented design patterns
  • Develop and maintain data access layers using Entity Framework (Entity Framework Core preferred) with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Implement event-driven and streaming solutions using Apache Kafka
  • Ensure application security, performance, resiliency, and availability in a highly regulated enterprise environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with strong root cause analysis
  • Support compliance, audit, and risk management requirements aligned with enterprise and regulatory standards
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot and modern developer tools to enhance productivity and code quality
  • Collaborate effectively within an Agile Scrum team to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in full stack development using.NET and C#
  • 4+ years of advanced experience with Oracle Database and SQL, including performance tuning, indexing, and stored procedures
  • Experience with React and modern front-end development practices (e.g., component-based architecture, state management, and REST API integration)
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and event streaming
  • Proficiency with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and software design patterns
  • Experience with Git and enterprise-scale source control workflows
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams within large, enterprise-scale environments
  • Must be able to work on-site 3 days per week
Desired skills:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable)
  • Exposure to or experience with OpenShift Container Platform and/or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Harness, Jenkins), DevOps practices, and automated testing
  • Proficiency with GitHub for source control and collaboration, including GitHub Copilot usage

Pay range: $51.56 - $59.56 per hour
