Role Description
Under minimal supervision, the Completions Lining Technician III performs advanced installation, modification, and integration of aircraft cabin lining systems including headliners, sidewalls, dados, and related interior panels used in VIP aircraft completion projects. This role serves as a senior technical resource within the lining installation team, responsible for complex installations, troubleshooting fit and alignment issues, and ensuring installations meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Functions
• Perform advanced installation, fitting, and modification of aircraft cabin lining components including headliners, sidewalls, dados, and other interior panels.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, material specifications, and installation instructions to ensure installations meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges including fit, alignment, and integration with adjacent interior components.
• Identify discrepancies in engineering drawings or installation requirements and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and supervision.
• Verify installations meet required tolerances, fit and finish standards, and overall quality expectations for VIP aircraft interiors.
• Ensure all regulatory documentation and installation records are properly completed in accordance with the Comlux Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM) and other applicable quality standards.
• Maintain advanced working knowledge of company installation procedures, process specifications, and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Trainee, Technician I, and Technician II employees.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, planners, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material readiness and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to departmental safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company housekeeping and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required. Relevant trade school or technical training preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft cabin lining installation processes, particularly within a VIP aircraft completions environment.
• Minimum 6+ years of aircraft interior installation experience, with significant experience installing aircraft lining systems.
• Demonstrated experience performing complex lining installations and modifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in aircraft cabin lining installation techniques and procedures.
• Strong understanding of RSQM procedures and FAA regulatory requirements related to aircraft interior installations.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex installation challenges and recommend solutions.
• Strong attention to detail related to fit, alignment, finish, and quality standards.
• Working knowledge of computers and software systems utilized by Comlux.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technicians, supervisors, engineering, and quality teams.
• Ability to mentor junior technicians while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

This position is based in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve:
