Job description

US Coast Guard Auxiliary Mission Bay Flotilla serves the San Diego region, including Mission Bay and San Diego Bay. Our main activities include providing recreational boater education and vessel safety checks. We also work with local marine dealers and marinas to promote boater safety, and we participate in a variety of events around San Diego, which include boat shows, Fleet Week, and the Miramar Air Show. In addition, there are potential opportunities in marine safety and environmental protection.

This volunteer opportunity is aimed at recruiting new members for the Mission Bay flotilla. Once you are trained, there are many opportunities to volunteer alongside any of the flotillas, at a division, or even at the national level.

We currently have about 35 members and are looking to grow our membership. We hold monthly meetings at Marina Village, which provide an opportunity to learn more about the auxiliary and to fellowship with other members.

Watch the video below for an introduction to the range of volunteer opportunities within the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and we hope you can join us at one of our monthly meetings.
