CNC Operator Trainee Position Summary:

Assist the machine shop by performing saw cutting, deburring, manual lathe operation, CNC machine operation.

CNC Operator Trainee Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Loading and unloading of materials into various machines.
  • General good housekeeping practices within work area.
  • Review work center for maintenance compliance.
  • Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation.
  • Comply with company quality and safety requirements

CNC Operator Trainee Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):

  • High School Diploma, GED or higher education
  • 1 year with CNC Operator experience
  • Ability to use power tools
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to pay attention to a single task for long periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions (English)
  • Machine shop experience a plus
  • Blueprint reading a plus
  • Use of Inspection tools as plus
  • Basic math skills needed, shop math and trigonometry
  • Use of various manual machine shop equipment a plus

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to stand/sit for several hours
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
