Job description

Salary: $21 - $31 per hour

The EZ Concept CNC Operator will beresponsible for the effective and efficient running of both our Turrett and Folding machines, along with our Door machine to support our in-house manufacturing. A comprehensive understanding of the EZ Concept product range will be required to assist in providing quality control.


Main Activities:


  • Operates (2) EZ Concept CNC Turrett machines to support in house manufacturing
  • Assist in production on the CNC Door Machine

  • Bends frames and other building material products on the folders as needed

  • Ensure operator workstation is properly set up

  • Maintains a clear and organized work space

  • High mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of how to run and troubleshoot equipment and machinery.

  • Accurately inspect parts and drawings to ensure quality is maintained, making corrections as needed

  • Communicates quality issues and other concerns clearly to shift supervisor.

  • Can read and understand a tape measure, protractor, and other measuring instruments

  • Experience with CADMAN B or other similar software from other press brake manufacturers a plus but not required

  • Able to physically perform all duties required which may include bending, lifting, carrying, squatting, moving around in confined spaces or being on your feet for prolonged periods of time

  • Works with a sense of urgency, maintaining production demands and adhering to downtime escalation process so issues can be resolved immediately.

  • Ability to analyse and problem solve

  • Adheres to company safety policies and special equipment safety practices

  • Carry out instructions in view of efficient processes being kept to.

  • Understand and maintain confidentiality relating to all business activities, especially relating to manufacturing details and customer/ supplier details

  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines- Includes any uniforms if supplied

  • Work as a team. Call out for additional assistance immediately if a problem comes up that you are not competent in responding to.
