VP of Clinical Informatics Knoxville, TN | Full-Time | On-site 

Patriot Talent Solutions is partnering with a large healthcare system in Knoxville, TN to hire a Vice President of Clinical Informatics. This leader will provide enterprise clinical informatics direction across venues of care, with primary scope over Acute Nursing and Ancillary Services, and will partner closely with executive stakeholders to drive EHR adoption, optimization, governance, and measurable outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide system-wide clinical informatics leadership across venues of care, aligned to organizational strategy and quality goals.
  • Partner with executive leaders (CIO/CMIO and other senior stakeholders) to set informatics direction, priorities, and roadmaps.
  • Lead standardization, quality, and optimization of clinical informatics solutions and workflows.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor / project leader for major initiatives including implementations and acquisitions.
  • Build and manage annual operating budgets and longer-range capital planning for informatics initiatives.
  • Oversee program/project governance across multiple high-impact, enterprise initiatives (scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality).
  • Lead people strategy for Clinical Informatics staff (org design, hiring, performance management, development planning).
  • Establish deliverables and milestones for solution delivery in partnership with business and clinical leadership.
  • Ensure appropriate controls for privacy/security and EHR access consistent with HIPAA expectations.
  • Engage with industry user groups and national forums to stay current on best practices and emerging trends.
  • Drive change management and adoption strategies to help leaders and clinicians successfully transition to new processes/technology.
  • Oversee education/adoption efforts and define measurable success metrics for sustainment.
What We’re Looking For (Required)
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of multi-facility healthcare/hospital clinical information systems management experience.
  • Demonstrated executive-level leadership in clinical informatics 
  • Strong clinical informatics background with proven ability to drive adoption, optimization, and standardization.
  • Strategic, executive presence with strengths in critical thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Knoxville, TN.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet applicable driving/insurance requirements as a condition of employment.
