We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Architect on a full-time, permanent basis for our client, a national financial institution. The Business Intelligence Architect will serve as a leader for Business Intelligence and work with vendors to implement BI solutions to meet their needs. This role is functional and technical with the qualified candidate having an understanding and experience with a Business Objects environment; data warehouse architecture and design experience, data modeling as well as a strong understanding of star schema and snowflake schemas; experience with Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development; dashboards; ETL design; PL/SQL queries and strong analytical and communication skills to work with senior management and vendors.

  • Work as a business partner to define and document key requirements for BI solutions.

  • Analyze requirements, design the solution, develop, implement and support the BI solutions.

  • Provide support as needed for all BI applications.

    Candidate Profile        

  • Minimum of 5 years hands on experience implementing BI solutions, from analysis through implementation with Business Objects

  • 4 year bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Technology. 

  • Must have passion to sell BI solutions.

    • Working knowledge of the design and implementation of dimensional models
    • Extensive experience administrating a Business Objects environment, creating and maintaining universes, and complex report development
    • Experience with Business Objects Data Services
    • Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development
    • PL/SQL experience against Oracle or SQL Server DBMS
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills, including documenting solution requirements and design. 

  • Must be able to work with the remote based BI team, and offshore development team, staying closely coordinated with them, but not requiring day to day supervision.

    Business Intelligence Architect details

  • Data modeler/analyst must have strong knowledge of star schema and snow flake schema

  • Data modeler/analyst must have good experience in rational database systems and architecture.

    • Able to document mapping on ETL and Database tables and schema .
  • Data modeler/analyst must have good experience in forms of normalization and transformations of data throughout the forms .

  • Data modeler/analyst must have Database table and schema design experience (specially for Oracle)

  • Data modeler/analyst must have knowledge of Business Intelligence Process

  • SQL Language is a must.

  • Gather requirements for data integration, data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.

  • Must have experience on SDLC phases .
