You work with the information security team as a competent and experienced information security and compliance leader.

How you will contribute

You will assess information security risks in line with internal policies and external best practices and determine requirements how to secure Mondelez International information and IT assets. In addition, you will develop security standards and policies; advise technical teams when developing relevant procedures or have operational security questions; review and consulting them on compliant and effective use of common tools. You will also keep business stakeholders apprised on the overall security and compliance roadmap, provide training on information security to appropriate teams, and develop security strategies, architectures and roadmaps across process and technologies.

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in network security engineering or a related cybersecurity discipline

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower)

  • Demonstrated experience with network security in hybrid environments (on-premises + cloud)

    What additional ingredients you bring:

    Network Security Architecture & Implementation

    • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and network access control (NAC) solutions

    • Architect and implement network segmentation strategies across corporate, manufacturing (OT/ICS), and cloud environments

    • Manage and optimize next-generation firewalls (NGFW), web application firewalls (WAF), and proxy solutions

    • Implement Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) principles across the global enterprise

    Monitoring, Detection & Incident Response

    • Monitor network traffic for anomalies, threats, and policy violations using SIEM, NDR, and packet analysis tools

      Technical Skills

      • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS)

      • Proficiency with IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN, SD-WAN, and DDoS mitigation technologies

      • Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including virtual network security, security groups, and cloud-native firewalls

      • Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar)

      • Working knowledge of scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) for security operations

      • Understanding of encryption standards, PKI, and certificate management

      • Analytical Thinking- Ability to analyze complex network environments and identify security gaps

      • Communication- Strong written and verbal skills; ability to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders

      • Collaboration- Proven ability to work across geographically dispersed, multicultural teams

      • Problem Solving- Calm and methodical approach to high-pressure incident scenarios

      • Continuous Learning- Passion for staying current with the evolving threat landscape and emerging technologies

      • Business Acumen- Understanding of how security decisions impact business operations and manufacturing continuity

      Education / Certifications:

      • Bachelor's degree preferred

      • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) *Will be required to obtain within 12 months of employment

      • CCNA/CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional - Security)

      • GIAC certifications (GCIA, GCIH, or GNSA)

      • CEH (Certified Ethics Hacker)

      Travel requirements: 25% Would prefer candidate to reside within 50 miles of 1 of our locations (Chicago, East Hanover, Miami, Richmond, Portland, Twin Falls, Indianapolis)

      Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $167,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
