Job description

Compentent, Compassionate, Consistent Certified Medical Assistant needed!

Responsibilities: Front Office

  • Warmly welcome patients per office policy
  • Verify insurance and benefits of coverage, schedule patients, maintain scheduling templates
  • Prep and maintain charts, complete and maintain accurate documentation
  • Ensure efficient office and clinical operations
  • Assist with billing, prior authorizations, administrative forms
  • Monitor storage and inventory, order supplies
  • Adhere to Standard Regulations, HIPAA, Policies and Procedures

Back Office:

Triage patients efficiently and cordially, obtain and monitor vital signs, vision, and hearing screening

  • Perform routine specimen collections and process blood/urine samples for physical exams
  • Accurately label specimen and include orders with specimen packaging
  • Administer injections as directed by Physician, EKGs, chaperone exams
  • Complete patient assessments, timely and accurate chart documentation
  • Assist the Physician or Clinician with procedures, comply with patient care orders
  • Maintain equipment and clean workstations, exam rooms, and environment
  • Adhere to Infection Control, OSHA compliance
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently within scope, office policies, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an Accredited Program Only
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an outpatient Primary Care office doing front/back office work (Family / Internal Medicine/ OB/GYN)
  • Must be highly organized and adaptable to a multi-faceted, dynamic work environment
  • 5 year minimum experience in Phlebotomy required
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record and ICD-10 medical terminology required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Portals, and Smart Devices
  • Professional and courteous interpersonal skills with patients and team members
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English is required.
  • Multi-lingual preferred: Fluent in Spanish, Kreyol, French

Thursdays - Fridays 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Twice a month: Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
