This role is a hybrid position and in the office three days a week and work from home two days a week.

Organizations are increasingly transforming how infrastructure is built, managed, and supported through automation, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of network infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence, helping to improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of critical enterprise platforms. Ideal candidates are curious problem-solvers who enjoy troubleshooting complex environments, automating repetitive tasks, and partnering across teams to modernize infrastructure operations.

We are looking for a junior level network automation candidate.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot network, system, and application issues using standard tools, telemetry data, and established procedures.
  • Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using Python or similar languages to support network provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of automated network configuration and infrastructure-as-code solutions under guidance.
  • Support integration and operation of network services including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and cloud-based networking components.
  • Follow established security, risk, and compliance requirements in the design and support of network solutions.
  • Maintain documentation, including procedures and runbooks, and contribute to improving operational processes.
  • Utilize approved automation and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency in troubleshooting, documentation, and routine operational activities.
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, TCP/IP, and network security.
  • Exposure to scripting or programming (Python or similar) for task automation.
  • Understanding of REST APIs or system integration concepts.
  • Familiarity with network operating systems, tools, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Exposure to cloud networking concepts or environments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with network automation or configuration tools (e.g., Ansible or similar).
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code concepts (e.g., Terraform or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience using AI-assisted or productivity tools to support operational workflows.
  • Foundational knowledge of Linux or system administration.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, cloud associate certifications).
