Overview:

The Shift Leader at Dave's Hot Chicken is responsible for overseeing all restaurant activities during their shift. This includes ensuring team members' performance meets expectations, adhering to company policies, and supporting the restaurant's overall business plan.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision and Training: Oversee the work of team members, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety policies. Guide and train staff using the DHC Training Program, and communicate any additional training needs to supervisors.
  2. Operational Management: Conduct operational checks (Ops Walks and Q&A), and organize shift schedules, assigning duties based on employees' roles and skills. Manage attendance and punctuality of team members.
  3. Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, recording orders, serving food and beverages, and resolving customer complaints in accordance with restaurant policy.
  4. Kitchen Operations: Coordinate team members in preparing menu items following cooking instructions and safety procedures. Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers and dispensers, and ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the restaurant.
  5. Financial Responsibilities: Manage cash drawers, prepare deposits, and adhere to food and cash control guidelines to minimize costs.
  6. Team Leadership: Provide feedback to team members, maintain high productivity and morale, and address performance issues. Train new and current team members. Help create a positive and fun work culture. 

Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred; current students welcome.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with fluency in English.
  • Certification in all stations per the DHC Training Program.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Able to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift 50-75 lbs.

Transportation & Accessibility:
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance.
  • Telephone or reliable communication method with supervisor and co-workers.

Hours:
  • Flexibility for opening and closing shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
