WeareseekingaknowledgeableandexperiencedTrailerForemantoleadourtrailerrepairteam. The idealcandidatewillsupervisetechnicians,ensurehigh-qualityrepairs,andmaintainsafetystandardswhileoptimizingworkflowin the trailer department.
CoreFunctions
  • Work Order and Documentation Management:Maintainaccuratepaperwork and support workflow across the Service Department. Review and verify work orders with technicians to confirm scope, hours, andrequiredsign-off prior to work. UpdateKarmak(BI, bay assignments, job status) and complete Technician 101 andKarmakreconciliation before the next shift.
  • Job Oversight and Coordination:Monitor labor hours and material usage against estimates andassistwith customer follow-up as needed. Coordinate with parts to ensure material availability and support technicians by removing obstacles,assistingwith troubleshooting, and promotingtimelyjob completion. Monitor overtime and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication and Issue Escalation:Report labor and material discrepancies to the Service Manager promptly. Notify the Manager and/or Estimator of repair changes and provide details for re-quoting and customer approval. Follow up with technicians to ensure alignment with timelines and repair expectations.
  • Quality Control and Completion:Perform daily quality checks andassistwith final inspections. Review and signoff onwork orders to confirm completion per scope. Verify material usage, technician documentation, and hours, thensubmitfinalized work orders to the completed queue.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Monitor technician performance, attendance, and quality of work. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve efficiency and document recurring issues to support accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Safety and Workplace Standards:Adhere to safety policies,participatein safety meetings, andmaintaina clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
CompetenciesandQualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technicalcertificationspreferred.
  • Minimum3years of experience in trailer repair with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems,including brakeand electrical.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
PhysicalRequirements
  • Must be able to lift/carry100+lbsinfrequently.
  • Prolonged periods ofwalking and standing.
