Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks aimed at facilitating patient care and enhancing mental health outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes and assessments, focusing on diagnostic evaluations that inform treatment recommendations.
• Collaborate with primary care providers to recognize and address mental health and psychosocial concerns, acting as a crucial member of the healthcare team.
• Provide brief, focused interventions to patients while recognizing when to refer them to specialty mental health services.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment goals and plans, ensuring they align with the patient's needs and preferences.
• Monitor patients’ progress and adapt treatment strategies, which may include creating relapse prevention plans to maintain stability.
• Document patient interactions diligently, maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with relevant ethical standards.
• Assist patients in understanding and adhering to prescribed medical treatments, offering tools to manage potential side effects.

Your work will directly impact a diverse patient population, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. You will provide support to patients of all ages, fostering their emotional and psychological growth through tailored therapeutic interventions. To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
• Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License in the state of Oregon.
• Thorough understanding of mental health assessments, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build cooperative relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to navigate telehealth platforms and maintain confidentiality during virtual sessions.

While not required, the following experiences may benefit applicants:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to better serve our diverse patient community.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health clinic.
• Familiarity with the DSM-IV and current psychotherapeutic techniques.
